We go to the peninsula of Jandia in Fuerteventura by Astragalus Mareoticus.

They are small plants group of green peas, beans, chickpeas ... leguminous then. Usually seasonal plants growing in winter in the crozes, on the slopes of mountains, badlands and other natural places of the islands.
 
There are several species, and it seems that all are appreciated by cattle. The Astragalus Mareoticus of Jandia, is not exclusive in Fuerteventura, which is also found on other islands in the Canaries and North Africa. Their flowersas can be seen in the picture, are purple. In other species of this group of plants the flowers are yellow or white.
